Now that I read Teutrik's rant, I am wondering if we can bring in a bottle of liquor that we have purchased at the departing duty free shop. I believe I read that there is a shop at the airport where you can buy such things once in Iceland. Is that true and is that a better way to go?

I have also read before about it best to bring a gas cooking stove. Does anyone know if butane/propane mix canisters are sold in iceland? They are plentiful in US and New Zealand and certainly less messy that…

If someone could please advice me on how to make the most use of my time in Norway to see as much of it as possible. If anyone else is travelling around that time, would be happy to have company as I am travelling alone.

Hello! We're planning on staying on the islands for about 4 days - arriving in the evening in Stamstund and plan on spending the first night there. We're a bit unsure of what to do. As the time is so short, we're thinking of just staying around, Stamstund, Å and Reine, etc. We have to catch the ferry to Bodo on the last evening. Any ideas on where to go, stay and do????

I am going to Norway in August for 7 or 8 days. I will take the Norway in a nutshell tour, tentatively take a boat from Bergen to Maloy then to Hellsylt/Geiranger then north.

If I want to take a few hours' trip to see the glacier, should I go from Flam-Fjarland back to Bergen, or from Stryn/Loen?

Will normal waterproof mountain shoes and waterproof jacket/pants enough for a light walk on ice?

but dont want to get a jeep
either im environmental or tight

I wonder if anyone can recommend a weekend spa resort in Sweden, preferably in or around Stockholm, but any place considered. I have been working 50 days straight, 12 hrs/day and need to chill......
