Any suggestion for staying one night in Helsinki with budget accomodation (euro 30 or below), possible best for double bed room or twin bed room with path.

My boyfriend will visit me in Oslo for a weekend, and he has never been to Norway before. Even though I have been living in Oslo most of my life, I can only think of taking him for a walk in Vigelandsparken...

I have 8 hours between flights through CPH, so probably about 5 hours of sitting around keeping myself awake waiting for my next flight. Is Dragor worth leaving the airport for? I'm not looking to just walk around and do nothing, but a nice lunch (Danish seafood maybe? though not limited to that) and something interesting to see would be nice. Any direct buses from the airport?

I will spend a few days in Copenhagen on the way back, so not interested in going there.

In the U.S., when i rent with my Amex card, I don't normally buy extra car insurance. In Iceland, assuming I rent a four-wheel drive vehicle and drive off the ring road for part of the trip, is there additional insurance that is a must? I just read about "gravel insurance"?

Hi, hopefully one or two of you knowledgeable guys and gals might be able to give me a pointer or two.

I'm taking the missus to Reykjavik for a few days in early September. We've both wanted to go to Iceland for a while, but for various reasons we never have that much spare holiday time, so will only have three full days to kill and I'm not sure how to go about organising stuff. I'm thinking of making a series of kayak voyages on rivers that run through
cities, mainly in Europe and Asia. They can be big cities or little cities so
long as they have some of the qualities of cities I’ve already paddled through
—Venice, Rome and Florence. That is, they should have visible distinction,
deep history and such. Nominations will be appreciated.

How do I get to Folbe, Hinnerup from Copenghagen?

Could anyone please tell me if there are ferries and buses running from Stavanger to the start of the Pulpit Rock track on Sept 29

I have looked at the Osterhusbuss timetable but it only goes up to Sept 16

Is there another bus company, or any other way of getting to the Pulpit Rock track ?

Do you know any hiking stores in Stavanger, Norway that have online stores? I would like to purchase some hiking boots before my trip later this month, and if they have an online store I can compare prices between home and away, many thanks!

Help! Has anyone ever visited the small town of Haugesund? I need one night's accommodation there on Saturday 1st September and it looks like absolutely everything is booked out. I'm wondering if there are any private homestay places that might not be so widely advertised?? Or anything at all that is not too expensive?
