Hi
I`ve been leaving near Trondheim for 2 months, and I´ll travel to Portugal next week, before I come back again. I´m waiting to know where in Norway I´ll be next time, but I´d like to leave my 2 suitcases with an entreprise which could sent it to me later on, when I´ll know address. Does anyone know some entreprises which do it?

We want to drive from Saint Petersburg, Russia to Finland for a short relaxing weekend.

Here are our criteria:

  1. We want to minimize driving time because I only have 2 days. So we're looking for someplace as close as possible to the Russia/Finland border. I realize there might not be any interesting destinations extremely close to the border. I'm just saying that closer is better in general.

  2. We enjoy quaint, romantic towns much more than cities. Doesn't matter if there is…

Hello

Have you discovered the great new Lonely planet travel app? A great way to share stories. Just created my first post, of course about the Faroes.

Would be great to hear what you think.

23/10 Bergen
24/Fly to tromso arriving at 9:30 and renting a car to lofoten ( is this realistic?)(recommended route?)

I'm planning to take my mum to Iceland next year. We're flexible in terms of when we can go and for how long. I'm looking for information on: 1) the best time to go; 2) duration; 3) itinerary/where to go; and 4) how much to budget for.

From what I've read so far Jun-Aug is the best time in terms of daylight and weather. Which month would you advise?

In terms of itinerary it seems driving along the coast of the entire country (Ring Road) seems to be the best option. Just wondering how many…

Hi,

We are a couple planning travel to Norway to spend our year end holiday, we will arrive Oslo in 24th Dec and will depart back home in 3rd Jan from Oslo.

Firstly, our main point is to visit Norway during the winter time to see Northern Lights. The second place, we would definitely love to enjoy the beautiful Lofoten Island.

Please advise us what is the better way to travel during the winter season in Norway to see Northern lights. Should we flight straightly to Tromso from Oslo (or may be…

Hi all!

So I have a transit in Oslo next week - I land at 5.25am and my next flight is 14:45 (but I would have to check in again before that flight).

What do people recommend to do? Can I make it to Oslo fjord from the airport for a few hours? Or am I better off heading into Oslo and exploring the city? Any quick itineraries people can share?

THANKS!

Hey everyone! I am new to Pathfinders but I wanted to go ahead and share an article from one of my favorite trips that I took this year! During April, I found myself touring through Scandinavia and I absolutely fell in love with the people and their countries. My favorite, however, was Norway.

Here is my article about my time in Oslo. :)

Hi,
I'm planning a winter vacation with my wife and kids to Finland in early Dec, we are expecting to spend a week+-, is it enough?
We are from Singapore and have experience driving in LA and Melbourne, is it advisable to drive in Finland?
What are the highlights we must not miss in Finland?
I was thinking we should at least visit the capital Helsinki and catch the northern lights.

After reading some comments and reviews, I am at a loss and scare to plan my itinerary.
Any advie is greatly…
