Where to buy camping gas in Tromso

Does anyone know where i can buy the simple gas catridges in Tromso ? Arriving late Saturday afternoon in mid summer... appears none for sale at the campsite. Thanks, Lee.

How will you be arriving, and how late?

Arriving by plane, at approx 4pm, realising this maybe a bit late for any camping shops to still be open on a Sat, time I get into Tromso (maybe 5 ish) on a sat afternoon/evening.

Arriving by plane, any gas containers of any kind cannot be carried by an aircraft by law, as it is concidered a dangerous cargo, and from memory most shops in Tromso's main shopping street close after the Hurtigruten cruise ship leaves in the late afternoon.

So it looks like somebody is needed here, with local knowledge, is anybody out there that can help?

In general in that part of the world, filling stations tend to be the main place to get hold of camping gas, etc. For a city, you'd need to locate a filling station more likely to be serving the passing trade rather than local city-only trade. Maybe you could even see on google street view what kind of stuff they are selling.
