Oslo to Leon and top Hiking in ScandanaviaCountry forums / Scandinavia & the Nordics
Hello hello, I am desperate to go hiking in Norway in August for obvious reasons! Climbing mount Skala would be my dream but not sure how to get there, we fly into Oslo? any ideas? If not are there hiking routes we can get to by bus from Oslo? If so what are the best!? Or even any of the other Scandinavian countries as long as it is accessible from their capital as this is where we would fly into. we are planning to hike for 5-7 days we want to camping and adventure!! Many thanks for reading and all replies hugely appreciated Rosie
For Mount Skala you have to go Loen, to do this you would better flying into Bergen (not sure why you have to fly into a capital). From there you can take either Hutigruten ferry or the Express ferry to Maloy and then bus from there. Apparently you can take a bus from Oslo but it would be very long. This link gives you other hiking suggestions in that area, it a stunning area, the walk up Skala is pretty tough. | 1

Thanks!! oh no reason, just always seems cheaper and easier to fly into the capital! Thank you for all this advice I shall have a look over! | 3
Jotunheimen is a nature area where you can hike several days and it is not excessively far from Oslo, there is a bus. | 4
