hello guys, these days i'm planning to buy a plane ticket for my first time travel to norway and solo travel ever (a one week trip) in april.
i would love to take some hiking time around bergen after spending a few days in oslo, is it possible or a bad idea? i read that april is a bit too early for hiking in norway because of the weather ofc :( please give me some hope. i travel on a budget so can you recommend me some other low cost ideas for seeing nature there?

thanks

You should find so low level stuff around the western fjords (Bergen) but it of course does depend on the Winter. We were up in Kalvag last March/April and managed some lovely low level walks.

In april the seaside will be clear of snow snd often filled with snowdrops, anemones and other spring flowers. Hiking some of tje numerous coastal trails 'kyststi' is a very nice experience.

Eat strawberries. Watch sunset. Talk, kiss and dance. And always remember to bring dry socks.

Thank you for advices, I'm thinking about walking up to the Mont Floyen and Ulriken, I suppose the path should be fine in april?
