Hi

I am a photography student coming to visit Iceland in the end of november.I was wondering what am i going to do after it got dark. When i was an exchange student in Sweden people always gathered in their homes and spent the evenings with their family with candlelight...So i guess it will be pretty much the same in Iceland too. I came to the idea that i would like to document how people live worldwide starting with Iceland.
So actually I am searching for people who want to show how they live and what matters most to them.Especially if you live in some special kind of housing (in a tree ,a castle whatever :))that would be really interesting for me.
I would give you the pictures on a CD as an exchange.
If you would like some portraits of yourself or have any other ideas what you would like to do i am pretty much open for any ideas.
If you´re interested please contact me at:
nallevalle@hotmail.com
a picture would be nice but is no must
if you want to see what i´ve been doing up to now if got a little messy blog : www.nallevalle.twoday.net
and a homepage will follow soon:www.marliesplank.com

regards marlies

"Iceland" ...."special kind of housing (in a tree ,a castle "

...those combinations would not only be special but a world sensation!

Right, electrical ones as well as "real" candles especially from early Dec through about mid-Jan. It has become more common that people spend time outside their homes too eg at pubs or restaurants although more so in the summer I think - it really depends on the place in question, city vs. rural areas etc.
