MINI PRIS CHANGES - MYRDAL-OSLO

Country forums / Scandinavia & the Nordics

I have just secured Mini pris seats on the 17:52 train from Myrdal-Oslo,
arriving into Oslo at 22:52 at the end of the month.

I assume the most scenic stretch is from Bergen-Myrdal-Flam, but I am
concerned I will be missing much of this scenic trip due to the late arival.

My questions

Can Minipris fares be changed - I cant understand the Norwegian translation
Refund :Minipris: Gjelder kun angitt(e) togavgang(er). Ingen refusjon eller

And will I be missing much, any idea when the sun sets in late May ??

Many Thanks Matt

I think the minipris tickets can be refunded just as other tickets. You just have to get the refund alteast a day before the trip(atleast that was how it was the last time i took the train).

Here you can see when the sun goes up(sol opp) and down(sol ned) in different parts of Norway: http://www.aftenposten.no/vaer/?type=solmane

Minipris tickets can not be refunded or changed in any way whatsoever.

Don't worry with the light situation, I was planting in my garden at 11 pm last night and it was still daylight. The scenic part of the journey is the first hour from Myrdal, closer to Oslo it's not that special.

took an overnight train in the opposite direction end June and it was daylight from about 3pm, somewhere near myrdal, snow everywhere in the highlands there, no major mountains but very rugged landscape closer to bergen
