I am flying into Helsinki and plan to get a Bus to Heinolan after staying overnight. Does anyone know a decent cheap Hotel or Hostel they would recommend near the train station

you shouldnt worry,helsinki is very small and you can get from place to place in 15-20 min (even if its further away) due to the good transportation system and never any crowds on the roads.
a cheaper place to stay is guesthouse omapohja,right by the railway station,behind the theater.
