Honeymoon trip - July- 2 weeks-Itinerary Help

We are planning on an honeymoon trip mid July to Scandinavian countries from India. We would be having ard 15-17 days.

We would also be joined by another young couple.

The plan so far is

Day 1 Arrival in Stockholm

Day 2&3 in Stockholm

Day 4

Fly to Oslo

Day 5& 6 in Oslo

Day 7

Train to Flam and then the Fjord tour to Balestrand

Day 8-12 in Flam-Balestrand - any other suggestions?

A 2 night stay in a lakeside cabin in Balestrand/Flam! (Please suggest good cabin rentals for 2 or 3 nights...)

Day 13 return back to Stockholm

Day 14 Fly back home to India

Any ideas on the Flam/Balestrand (Day 8-12) Part? How to go about ? What places to visit, mode of transportation etc?

I am just asking please help us with an itinerary for the Day 8- Day 12 ...

We were thinking of the Sognefjord tour, Glacier tour to Jostedalen. ANy other suggestions please....

Well, I would suggest going by Wideroe to Tromsø and from there to Lakselv. From there you have a 6 hour bus journey to Kautokeino. There you will experience Lapp people, tundra and mosquitoes the size of small sparrows. For me being from southern Norway it was WOW! For you being from India it will be another universe.

Re Flåm, I stayed at Heimly Penjsonat (http://www.heimly.no/) which had great views of the fjord. The next time I was down that way I stayed nearby at Aurland at a lovely place called Vangsgaarden (http://www.vangsgaarden.no/). Vangsgaarden was in a great location right on the fjord and had a nice outdoor restaurant attached. Wherever you stay though, I would suggest requesting a room with a fjord view; it's so nice to wake up to in the morning :-)
