found camera in Reykjavík!!!!!!!!!

Folks,

I found a camera in Reykjavik, contact me with where you think you lost it, the description of the camera and what you look like and I will return it. I will be here for two more days. I have had my camera stolen while traveling, so i know the pain.....

Please hand the camera to the police - they are the right ones to find its owner. Maybe the owner already has reported loosing it?

how sure are you the police will not keep it for themselves?

dude, u're doing the right thing (at least thats how i feel). even if u've left the country and the owner contacts u through here, get him to pay for the postage and return it to him.

that is if u really wanna return to him and dun mind the hassle. :) if not, handling to the police is the last thing u can do. at least u didnt keep it for yourself. :)

Iceland is one of the least corrupt countries in the world, it would be very, very unlikely that the police kept the camera. If the owner can't be found, it will be auctioned away after a few months, the profits being kept by the government.

It is quite unlikely that the owner will ever see the message posted here - it is far more likely that (s)he will contacting the police, which is The Right Place to report lost and found items.

through a series of wacky events you will all be very happy to know that the camera is in the rightful hands of its owner. chalk one up for honest people
