bus from stavanger to hostel Preistolen fjellstue

Hello,
we're planning a trip to see the preikestolen in mid of april. We would like to stay at the preikestolen fjellstue. Does anyone know how to get there by ferry and bus? We are in Stavanger around 8pm. It's seems there's a ferry to Tau, but then I can't find good information on how to take a bus? Or is this not possible this late in the evening?

According to the timetables here and here|http://www.boreal.no/pulpit-rock-rogaland/category845.html] you are indeed arriving too late to get any further than Tau by public transport. You could get a taxi (which would be pricey even for several people sharing) of course, but to me staying overnight in Stavanger before heading out the next morning would make more sense. (There's nothing to do at Preikestolen except hiking, after all).
