Hey everyone!
Me and quite a few of my friends are looking into going to Stockholm this year around Midsummer - what is it like there during the Midsummer weekend? I have read reports that it can be quite quiet in the city. We are all 20 something British guys looking at heading to wherever there is a good party! Any thoughts, advice and suggestions around what to do in the city at that time and whether it's a good time to go are welcome!
Thanks!

Hi - does anyone know of an alternative to a very expensive taxi (2250 SEK) to get from Kiruna airport to Riksgransen?
I know there is a bus, however, my flight arrives at 21:40 and i've been told by our hotel that the bus will not be running at that time. Is there a train after that time? or a cheaper taxi option? I've seen there is a mini- bus option for 3,000 SEK but there are only two of us so would need to find others in the same boat to make it cheaper? We arrive on Friday 29th April…

No, I'm not talking about the subway, I'm talking about the cultural "underground". Where can I find it? Where are the hip cafés, bars and clubs - not the fancy ones, but the outstanding ones? Where can I find theater, dance performances, exhibitions and art galleries apart from the official Stockholm? Where can I find young designer fashion, and where are good second hand stores? And where can I find outstanding affordable food?

In the official travel guides you'll find a lot about Stockholm…

My husband and I are seeking a bit of help with navigating around the Easter holidays in Sweden.

We arrive in Copenhagen 21 April and have to be in Kristianstad on 26 April. I prefer small towns and rural areas, but my husband would like to see cathedrals and such in Stockholm (I wish our flight had been booked into Stockholm!).

I would love to see the Bohuslän coast, maybe the rock carvings in Tanumshede and go for some short hikes, but with our preliminary travel schedule, we will really…

Hi, I am planning on going to Stockholm during April 18-23. Because of the Easter holiday, will there be very few locals/people in the city?

Also - Are there any nearby cities that would be easy and cheap to visit?

Thanks!
Joanna

I'd like to spend April & May in Sweden - most likely in Stockholm, but I'd be flexible about location (although most tell me that's what I'd enjoy the most). Are there any other cities that would have a sizeable young/student population?

I work online so commuting to work is not an issue.

What should I do to find affordable accommodation for these two months? Would renting a furnished place to myself be ludicrously expensive? Where should I find that?

Otherwise how can I share a place with…

Man, have I been having one hell of a difficult time booking a train from Copenhagen to Goteborg! I've tried booking many times through the SJ website, but for some reason I always get an error and cannot complete my purchase. So from another thread here I finally found a website that let me book a ticket, Resplus, and it worked fine. However when I was sent my e-ticket, it says that I will need a valid Swedish ID or an EU passport when on the train. It didn't say anything about that during…
