Hey guys,
I have started my studies in Sweden since like 20 days ago in a city called Boras, near Gothenberg. I have worked as an English teacher for the last 5 eyars or so.Therefore I thought I could easily get a job here as well as I did have back home. But ever since I came here, people have kept telling me " Man,Swedes speak a perfect English!!"
Now my question is that ,is there basically no such a job as an English tutor and teacher here in Sweden?(if so its so weird then)
By the way,I have already applied for an interview in the office of employment and im waiting for that but people keep disappointing me about getting a job here in Sweden as a foreigner!!IOoops!!
DIRECTIONS Please...
Thanks in advance..
Ali

If you are qualified as a teacher for secondary school (gymnasie/high school) teaching English in an English speaking country (and has "good enough" grip of Swedish), then sure, you should be qualified to teach English at that level in Sweden.
However, I don't think there are any special program to get you in there. You'd have to compete with native swedes for such an position. Foreign English teachers are more common than teaches in any other subject, but still rather uncommon.
Beware that Swedish youths get more exposure to listening to English language though films and TV-programs than you will ever be able to give in class.

You left out an important piece of information: does you (study?) visa allow you to find a legal job in Sweden?

You problem is that "what do you have to offer that a Sweden with a Master degree in English, a degree in professional teaching and a perfect Swedish does not offer?".
Add to that the crisis have hit Sweden realtively hard so the unemploment is high.
As Aribo mentions - if you are not an EU citizen - forget it, if your visa does not allow working - noone will hire an illegal in Sweden for a teaching job.
oh my god!!U guys really think im tallking about getting a job while I am not sure if i can work here legally!!do u think im that mad!! guys ,my visa is both a work and study visa, already checked with the embassy.
Anyway,thanks for the warnings,rather than directions,Aribo!!

No offense coolguy. The reason why I asked is that a) in many countries having a student visa doesn't necessarily imply that you're entitled to work legally and b) you belong to the very small minority of posters on this forum who check themselves whether or not their visa allows that before asking where to find work.

I think the average Swede, including my wife's family have better English than your posts demonstrate coolguy so it might be hard to find a job unless you teach better than you write.
