Hi there!
I'm trying to see a glimpse of Lofoten islands in 3-4 days, this July, independently, hoping to get by in some how lower budget costs.
With first look it seems not really easy.
I have concluded how to get to Bodo by train and that's all I have till now- this should be a convinient exit point to Lofoten.
Could you suggest a few ideas on how to get a good experience of the islands, perhaps by taking the ferry to which port(s), or some bus rides also to cities / villages/ nature sites…

Hello again,

I will be in Stavanger for 3 days in September. I would love to go to see the Pulpit Rock this time. last time i visited Stavanger I did not have a chance to do that. Can you tell me how to travel from Stavanger to the Pulpit Rock. I would like to do some hiking with my husband, but we do not want to drive during our trip. So is there any other way of getting there from Stavanger? Thanks x

Hello again,

we're looking into having a week of holiday anywhere in Norway. But as the country is so big it's difficult to make a choice.

The idea is to rent a cottage and go there either by plane and rent a car, or drive there by car if it's not too far away. We currently live in Stavanger and would love to see a different landscape. Month: June, early July. I've been to Southern Norway, just a bit away from Lindesnes before.

One idea was to go to the Lofoten, however, getting a plane that…

Hello,

we'll be driving to Bergen from Stavanger soon. On the way up we'll just stick to the E39, but we might want to take more time on the way back to Stavanger and take an alternative, maybe longer, maybe even much longer route.

Any ideas? I'd love to visit Hardangervidda but we don't have the equipment for climbing up mountains nor for hiking trips of more than a few hours. We're not very fit anyway. Is it possible to see the glacier from close to a road or any other scenic spots?

Any…

My daughter (33) and I (62) will be in Norway for two weeks this summer. We are planning a 10 day car trip and are having trouble narrowing down where we will go. From the looks of it, we can do most of what we want in the middle of Norway, just have to pick one of the ends - Pulpit Rock and Stavanger or Lofoten Islands - can't do both.

We'd drive to Stavanger from Oslo and stay two nights so we can hike to the top of Pulpit Rock and then proceed north and eventually get to Trondheim and then…

Hello there.... I saw this great side trip itinerary from Bergen (see below) on a website but I can only book it as part of a voyage package costing around £2000. How would one go book a similar day trip from Bergen with having to incorporate it as part of an entire travel package.... basically just want to see some decent fjords and want to get the best one ! :o) Not to much to ask.... ?

Thanks 50

Hello!

We will be travelling central and northern Norway from mid june.

For the very first time we are taking our 9 months baby (by then) plus her grandparents... but we want to continue camping in a tent as always have done previously (before expanding the family)

Question:

How is temperature in that area the last week of June? we are just affraid it could be too cold for baby... does anybody had any similar experience there in a tent?

Thanks in advance!

Hi,

I am trying to figure out if it's possible to travel from Eidfjord to Stavanger using public transport. Would it be better to travel back to Bergen and then to Stavanger or how could it be done?

Thanks in advance!

Hello :))

Any suggestions for nice affordable restaurants in A and Reine? We are not looking for a cup of coffee and a piece of cake, but for a light meal.

Thanks a lot.

Our family of 3 will have one full day in Oslo so I feel that we need to have a plan. Must sees: Norwegian Resistance Museum, Munch paintings (hopefully the Scream), the Viking Ship museum. I would also very much like to see Vigeland Park (museum not required). We will be staying centrally on Karl Johans gate. From the guidebooks, it looks like the Munch rooms at the National Museum would be sufficient; however, my son really likes the idea of going to the Munch Museum. Any comment?
