I'm going to be in Norway for 8 days at the end of June. I would like to go hiking somewhere pretty. I'll be bringing a tent so I'd like to go somewhere I'm allowed to camp.

Any recommendations for areas would be appreciated. I was thinking either the area around Voss (mainly because I saw a photo of Trolltunga) or Jotunheimen (but that may be snowy?) Any advice?

Many thanks

Stavanger

I'm planning a trip to Norway. From Oslo to Bergen and then Stavanger.
Is it worth the trip to Stavanger? How can i get there? is there any cheap hostel to stay?
Any good beaches round there?
Thanks!

I am visiting Norway next weekend with my girlfriend and another couple - we would like to go somewhere where we can feel nature (lake, river, rocks, mountains etc). Ideally we would have liked to go to the ffjords however the drive is very long (7 hours I have heard) and we are there only there friday - sunday. Does anyone know where we could go just a few hours away from Oslo? (I know for example just a couple of hours from London you could be by the sea, in the Costwalds, on the Kent Downs…

We fly with Ryanair into Sandefjord Airport on 4/6 at 12:15

Half day Friday
Full day Saturday
Half day Sunday

Depart on 6/6 at 16:30

We realise this is only a short break but want to pack in as much as possible. We are on a budget, Iv seen the prices for hotels/food/drink etc. So we are going to camp, have our own hiking tent we can use, this should keep costs down.
We can hire a car, at £100 for the weekend - I think the bus from the airport return is around £30.. so not much more for the a car…

Hello!

We're planning a trip to Norway for August and are looking for any advice/recommendations on what to do/where to go in the North.

Currently we plan to spend part of a day in Bodo before catching a ferry to the Lofoten Islands for a few days, and then eventually end up in Tromso where we catch our flight back to Oslo.

What are some must-sees or must-dos while we're in the north? Can anyone recommend a particular place to go/stay on Lofoten Islands? We would love to do a whale watching…

Hello All (particularly the ladies),

Planning our first trip to Norway in August- we'll be there for 17 days. We are heading all over- from Oslo to Bergen, down to Stavanger, up to the Lofoten Islands, then Tromso and a lot of places in between. We plan on doing a lot of hiking and exploring, as well as city sight seeing. What should I plan on packing? I've read that Norway is fairly laid back and casual in terms of dress- is that correct? I tentatively plan to pack mostly hiking pants…

Hello Guys & Girls,

I woke up this morning and decided i fancied a trip abroad this weekend and in a matter of minutes have decided to fly to Norway for the Eurovision Song Contest. The venue for the ESC Final this Saturday night is the Telenor Arena. It was formerly known as Fornebu Arena. It is located at Fornebu in Bærum, Norway.

It will be my first trip to Norway and i just had a few questions for anybody who may be able to help me.

1) All the websites i have visited say to get a bus to…
