We will be 3 people and we will have 6 full days (arriving at Oslo airport). We will be there in mid June and we're wondering what's the best to see ...
I have in mind something like 1-2 days in Oslo (we like both cities, even just for people watching and nature) ... and then move towards something like Flam, Bergen and Geiranger fjord.

plotting my norway adventure including Svalbard. I am hoping to fly Tromso to Svalbard, and back again. Then I want to maybe get to Kirkenes, and take the "southern cruise" on Hurtigruten back to Bergen. Is it worth going from Tromso to Kirkenes, or should I just book the trip from Tromso to Bergen?? I thought it would be exciting to go "all the way" to Kirkenes, and then back, but I would need to get from Tromso to Kirkenes....by bus? train" any ideas? I don't think I want to ferry…

I am trying to come to grips with the transport options in the Lofoten, looking at both the SJ's train timetables ( http://www.sj.se ) and Nordland's bus schedule ( http://www.177nordland.no ). There seems to be two busses a day that run between Reine and Narvik.

Getting to Reine:
The earlier overnight train from Sweden is scheduled to arrive at 14:30. The first bus of the day leaves Narvik Post at 9:20 in the morning and arrives in Reine at 17:10. There is a second, leaving Narvik Post…

I'm planning to take a Hurtigruten coastal cruise in Dec 2012 or January 2013 to hopefully see the northern lights. I've done a fair amount of web surfing, and it looks like Hurtigruten leaves just about every day from Bergen on various ships.

My questions: What difference does it make with which ship we go on? Do you recommend we pick our departure date based on the ship? If so, which ship/ships do you recommend and why?

We would like to do a 7-10 days bicycle tour at the west coast of Norway. Do you have any good ideas how to arrange low-cost bicycle transport to Norway (e.g. Norwegian Air Shuttle?) / within Norway (bus, ferry etc.)? What would be minimum costs for cabins / camping per day? If you are touring with a bike can you rent a cabin just for one night each day? When in July / August should we expect least rain? Any further suggestions?
