Hi, has anyone gone on a Lindblad expedition to the Arctic? I was going to book category 1 which is in the very front of the ship. I want to know if you got seasick and what you thought about the trip.

Also is there a less expensive trip that is still comfortable?

In my plan, I will go to Otta from Oslo by train. Then, Lom for mountaineering.
After I would like to visit geirangerfjord from Lom.
After I arrive hellesylt by ship, I would like to visit Runde for
puffins. Then, From Runde, I need to go to nearby railyway (Åndalsnes)
back to Oslo.

I would like to ask :
1. How I can go to geirangerfjord from Lom?
2. Is there any transport from hellesylt to Runde
3. Is it a good idea to travel geirangerfjord in April?
4. How can I go to near railway station from Runde

Can anyone help please. I am travelling to Norway on whistle stop tour with an aim to see northern lights when up north. We aim to fly to Bergen for 3 days then catch a ferry from there to Flam via the sogenfjord and the aurlandsfjorden. From Flam we would like to get train to Oslo for a flight to Tromso. I have found websites that advertise ferries from May onwards. Are there passenger/local ferries in winter months?

we are planning a trip to Northern Norway incl Lofoten Islands this June and will bring along our dog. We already got clearance from the vet and we know that we need to visit a vet in Norway prompt after arrival. We are also aware that dogs must be kept on a leash at all times. Nevertheless, any advice related to dogs in Norway will be appreciated.

I'd like to apply for a visa at the Russian embassy in Oslo. They will have my passport for a minimum of two weeks. Will I encounter any problems carrying just a copy of my passport? I might take the train to Bergen while I wait.

I'm going to Norway in March to seeing Northern Light, I have sorted out every transport from Tromso to Trondeim but been struggling the rest of the trip, hope I can get some idea in here.

I'm arriving to Trondeim by boat on 13th March at 6.30am, planning to go straight to Geiranger to see the fjord, I heard once you get to Geirangerfjord area, you don't really need to take the sightseeing cruise, you can just get the ferry but I'm not sure can I get the ferry during winter though and…

but it's not as detailed as I'd like, our aim is to be able to drive to a place where we expect no cloud at a certain time...and need a website to provide this info.

Are there any names of places or areas which these tours typically drive to, I read over the mountains on the way to Sweden or Finland...but is there…

We will have 10 days beginning 7 May from and back to Bergen. Public transportation and low budget. We are reasonably fit 60's and have hiked extensively, including Rockies, Alps and Andes, though our times are usually slower than posted. We do not like hiking in snow, and we also just like wandering in pretty places.

Sooo, suggestions as to accommodations and routes would be greatly appreciated. We anticipate no more than 3 bases.

I'm currently in Stavanger for another 3 weeks and am Toying with the idea of taking a trip up north to catch the northern lights.

Is one weekend possible (i.e. fly out on fri evening and back to stavanger at night)?

Also, where will be the most convenient to go? Tromsø?
