Will be in Svalbard from 15-17 Feb (first day of sun!!!). Does anyone know if there is enough sun to see the scenery then? Also, if you're going to be there during that time, holler! Would love to meet up with people for coffee or activities.

You don't need the sun to see the scenery, will be light a few weeks before the sun returns, so no problem. The fist place the you can see the sun from Longyearbyen is the old hospital steers

Lol, thanks for the info. Coming from the equator, I wasn't sure what to expect. When I saw the sunrise / sunset timings, I thought that there would be no light (or negligible) outside those hours!
