OK if it's a shorter cruise it must be with some other ship. MS Nordstjernen is busy doing the same cruise twice a week.

Just adding to what others have already said -
We went in August in 2009 - we could not circumnavigate without a serious risk of getting stuck in the pack ice. We did see quite a few polar bears, reindeer and at one location, walruses. If there is heavy pack ice the polar bears will be out on it so I think the August trip gives you a better chance of seeing them either on land or on the ice that your ship can get to. I'd recommend August for all these reasons. Enjoy your trip.

thank brockh, I have gone for mid August, 11 days. The thing that swayed me the most was the fact that the light is suppose to be much better as the sun should be very close to the horizon for a much larger portion of the day. Just trying to decide where else to visit on my Norway trip now and how best to organise the flight itinerary.
