All booked and ready to go for four days in Longyearbyen! Arriving on the 23rd of January.

Anyone else going around that time?

Gosh, it will be ice-cold up there north!

Have a wonderful time and don't hesitate to leave a trip report. I'd be curious to know what you've encountered there.

It's a great place, but very dark in January. You might get some northern light if you are happy. You'll probably not get far from Longyearbyen, but if you happen to meet someone taking scooter somewhere (e.g. Barentsburg) don't hesitate.
Don't leave the settlement without a rifle, proper clothes and safety equipment. Never!

Yeah, I've booked into some trips with Spitsbergen Travel, some dog sledding trips and snowmobiling. So I will have a guide leaving Longyearbyen. I'll hopefully write up about how it goes when I get home 😊
