Hy, I've been looking for some public transportation to Polar zoo in northern Norway but wasn't able to find any. Are there some busses or similar or is walking the only way to get there? If so, what is the shortest way (from Narvik along the main road (E6 if I'm correct) for example?). I'll be backpacking and before returning from Bodo to Oslo I would like to take a side trip to Polar zoo.

Polar Zoo is about 3 km from the E6. There is no public transport to the site (maybe a local school bus). The buses which run along E6 can drop you off at the nearest road, and if you call the zoo, they can possibly pick you up there (especially if you're not a solo traveller).
