Hi guys,

Just a quick question at how realistic the above might be for a day trip. A friend and I would be planning to leave Oslo at to get to Voss by train in the early morning, we would then have to take a bus to get to our final destination to view the Hardangerfjord.
I just wanted to know whether anyone has tried any similar trips, alternatively we were to go to Bergen and visit the fjord near there. We're only staying in Oslo for 5 days (4 nights), should we maybe just stick to exploring Oslo??

thanks

Hello Andbata

If you want to see a fjord on the west coast of Norway in a day trip from Oslo and you don't mind which fjord you see, you could travel by train (on the Oslo to Bergen line) to Myrdal then take the Flaam railway to Flaam, which is on a fjord. This forms part of a widely publicised tour called "Norway in a Nutshell" - which can be done as a day trip from Oslo and which includes a boat trip along a fjord.
