Does anybody know how to get from Oslo to Narvik or better yet, to Sortland by coach and train just in case the Icelandic volcano doesn´t calm down and there are no flights available.

rudah, if u book train in advance u can get "Minipris" which will be significantly cheaper...like max 299 or 399 from any point to any point in Norway.

It will be a very long train journey from Oslo up north to Narvik and u cant go all the way by train.

I know the train goes from Oslo to Bodø .....Bodø is in Nordland, the same state/county as Narvik is in, but Narvik is like 6-7 hours more by coach

I dont know so better look at what Yukinon wrote

Not what you asked for exactly, but there is a direct train from Stockholm to Narvik to be found at http://www.bahn.com/i/view/GBR/en/index.shtml</a> This link is also good for train connections all over Europe
