Greetings,

I will be traveling to Oslo and then connecting to another flight to Tromsø.

Arrival Oslo airport at time 14:40 and I've book a SAS flight to Tromsø departure at time 16:20 (Latest Check-in 15:50)

Does it take long to clear customs at Oslo airport?
Can I make it on time for my Tromsø flight?

Thanks.

You have book tickets separately?
If flight is on time you should have no problems. Depending on where you arrive from you may have to pass both passport control ("immigration") and customs control. But if you have corrrect visa if you need one it should be maybe 1 minute standing in line and 5 sec for the check.
BTW you should check in and get boarding pass for SAS on internet from home!! Normally SAS actually request that you MUST make all check in procedure at a "kiosk" (you know these ATM like things in airport) in the airport if you have not done it over internet or on your mobile, before you drop the luggage and show the identification! Try at least to get the luggage checked through to Tromsø from home if possible.

All this of course if both flights are to/from the "real" Oslo airport (Gardermoen = OSL ) and not Moss/Rygge or Sandefjord/Torp that "some" airlines call Oslo.

Thanks for the detail reply!

Yes, I've booked tickets from 2 different airlines.

Assuming the flight is on time at Oslo airport (OSL). I'll probably take 15 minutes to get off the plane, 5 minutes to run for the immigration control... hopefully not too many people (I don't need a visa).... and then run towards the baggage hall to collect my luggage (maybe another 10 minutes). After going through the customs control, I'll go to upstairs for my SAS flight to Tromsø!

But I'd like to know too what to do if my first flight... the one to Oslo arrive late, and I missed the connecting flight to Tromsø.
Are there any other ways for me to get to Tromsø on the same day as I've booked hotels in Tromsø.

Are there any other ways for me to get to Tromsø on the same day as I've booked hotels in Tromsø. - Tromsø is 1300 km (as birds fly) from Oslo - far north of any railway and where the roads are few and narrow - getting there by NOT flying takes a few days!!!

Apart from that I do not really understand the question - are you on the last flight to Tromsø of the day? There are 10 daily (workday) direct flights from Oslo to Tromsø with SAS and Norwegian combinend - in addition the airline will be happy to sell you indirect flights - like connecting in Bodø and/or Trondheim Bodø. Unless you have a full price 100% flexible ticket this will of course cost - but that's the risk with separate bought tickets.

Thanks! Thanks!
I get it now!
So if i missed my connecting flight, I can simply buy another ticket for a later time on the same day!

I just hope they don't sell out on that day.

It's not possible to check luggage direct to another airport in Norway, you have to clear customs in Oslo. Under normal conditions you shouldn't have any problems reaching your flight - do you have a ticket you can change if necessary???

Hihi,
Thanks for all the helpful information!

Yes under normal circumstances I shouldn't have any problem reaching the 2nd flight.
Unfortunately, I've booked the Economy class ticket from SAS to Tromsø, I'm just not sure if they allow changes to a later time if I missed my flight.

And I hope Oslo airport is unlike some other airports... they take forever waiting in line and to collect luggage bags.

On Sunday last when I arrived it was a 'long' wait for my luggage, actually it was 20 minutes, but for OSL that is really slow.
