I will be going this summer to Bergen, and i had in mind a trip to Geirangerfjord, but since it's an 8 hour long trip i'll have to "settle" with other closer fjords. What are the best places (fjords) not very far from bergen to visit?
Thanks and sorry if i wrote something wrong, english is not my language.

Hardangerfjord is approximately 2h away from Bergen including a ferry. The Rosendal gardens are well worth a visit, www.baroniet.no From there you can take the tunnel to Odda and drive up along the narrow fjord to Kinsarvik or Utne to catch a ferry back to Kvanndal on the north side of Hardangerfjord. This narrow fjord is absolutely stunning in late spring when the fruit trees blossom and in July and August there are fruit stalls everywhere selling local produce, the area is known as the "Gardens of Norway".
If you prefer going north, you can catch the "White Lady" sightseeing boat from Fisketorget in downtown Bergen. It's a really nice halfday trip through some amazing fjords. www.whitelady.no
