Hi
We've booked to stay in Reykjavik between 23rd Dec and 2nd Jan. The aim is mostly to have a Christmassy time, a fun new year and wind down from what will be a very busy autumn! So I know that 3 hours sunlight and bad weather are to be expected and we're cool with that....
I've been once before in a snowy early-February, so I know for the time between Christmas and New Year we'll be able to enjoy hot pools, Blue Lagoon and probably get out to the Golden Circle. If we're lucky we'll try and…
graciass, takkk, thank youu, I really appreciate it!!

Hi,
we are planning to travel to Iceland and Greenland next year- 3 weeks in Iceland followed by Kulusuk and 10-12 days in Nanortalik area in South Greenland.
What is he best time to go? May/June seem to be the driest months in Iceland it may be early for a trip to Greenland? We have been recommended August/September for our Greenland trip.
Has anybody made it to Nanortalik and further south to Aapilattoq?
Thanks
Hello -
My friends and I are heading to Iceland from August 6th - 20th. During that time we'd like to take a trip to the Westman Islands (not during the busy festival weekend, ideally the 14th - 16th or so). We are renting an apartment in Reykjavik from the 6th - 14th, so we thought it would be easiest to leave from Reykavik to the Westman Islands on the 14th.
We're hoping to take public transportation - buses and the ferry and I've been pouring over various websites. I see that Sterna (http:/…

i am oldish female visiting iceland for 6days starting next week. i plan to go on tours (poss whale watching, glacier or lagoon trip, pingvellir), take public transport to some of the sights (waterfalls, geysers) and see everything possible in reykjavik. does that sound the best use of my time given that i don't intend to exert myself too much?
i know i can mostly use my debit and credit cards. so, do i need to get any cash at all? what will i use it for? if i need some, is it sensible to…
Hello
We're leaving next Monday to Iceland. We've rented a car (no 4x4) and were thinking of camping out at Landmannalaugar. We know that it's not possible to get there by car (because of the F-roads) and we've seen that there is only one bus going to Landmannalaugar a day.
The mountaintaxi was quite expensive.
Does anyone know if there is an other alternative to get there ?
Thx
