Traveling late February.......Flying into KEF (Int'l).......is there a "transfer bus" to Domestic Airport (RKV)??
Destination: Akureyri Airport --- decisions, decisions.....where to stay? Akureyri or Lake Myvatn?? Is Route 1 clear (drivable) between 2 cities? What city has a better restaurants? Activities: tour companies for SnowMobiling, etc?
Recommendations for mid-range Hotels. Many Thanks to contributors!

The KEF bussystem is like this: You either go between KEF and the general bus terminal in town (BSI terminal) or you pay a bit more and is also taken between hotel and BSI with a minibus. Teh alst one can also take you to/from the City airport. https://www.re.is/flybus
" Is Route 1 clear (drivable) between 2 cities?" YES (unless a major snowfall/blizzard has occured the last few hours.
"What city has a better restaurants? " - none of these are cities. Akureyri is a town with 15-20,000 inh and Myvath is a lake. Around Myvatn there are two(?) settlements - the largest being Reykjahlíð (where most tourists go - and it is def. primarily a summer destination AFAIK) with some 200 inh. Think this answers most other questions.

Google a bit please - and take a look here http://www.northiceland.is/en/what-to-see-do/towns/myvatn
