PhD student male from NYC super easygoing and pleasant, athletic and very well traveled, seeking travel buddies for a week in Iceland.

Somewhat pricey- car rental and other expenses shared, companionship while sharing beautiful experience makes for a great trip. 5 1/2 hours from JFK to Reykjavik, Six to seven days would be adequate for...

A long soak in the milky turquoise waters of the Blue Lagoon, Located in a lunar-like landscape of lava fields, the lagoon is renowned for its health benefits and mineral-rich, geothermal seawater.

Whale watching, the sun shining late into the night and Glacier Lagoons,

Horse riding by spectacular narrow canyons and colorful landscape of green, yellow, red and orange rhyolite hills dotted with many hot pools and streams,

Geysirs- the original spouting hot spring,

One of nature's most awesome spectacles- The Northern Lights (if we are lucky),

Eerie landscape of bubbling mud flats, volcanic craters, fumeroles, lava fields and grassy shoals teeming with waterfowl, the nightlife of Reykjavik... etc.

If interested, please email nirvanamaste@yahoo.com, thanks :-)

You'd have to be really rather lucky to get both of those in the same week.

Horse-riding tours at Landmannalaugar (which is what that almost certainly refers to) is probably only available in high season (late June to late August). Also you can't go there in a hired 2wd, and not at all much beyond mid/late Sept.

I'll be in Iceland the 22nd of August for 10 days and would like to see the sights around the country and share some expenses. I have travelled extensively but never been here. I'm also writing a screenplay and need to do some research in Reykjavik. I'm a male in my 50's with a good sense of humor and adventure.

Take Care,

Glenn

Hello, I'll be in Iceland travelling solo from 14/8 to 22/8: my first solo big travel, low budget, high enthusiasm.
I plan to visit the south (to Skalafell and back,, spending some nights in the way) and would be nice to meet some people for this adventure, share some expensess and have some company too. Me, spanish girl in my early 30s, travelled and easygoing, with no dirving license (but great reading maps!).
