Hello,
I will be in Reykjavik this week with my girlfriend and I intend to propose to her there. She won't be reading this, don't worry! She actually spent two months in Iceland 5 years ago and loved it so it's a special place for her, for me it would be my first time there.
So my question is what would you suggest to be the most romantic places in or near Reykjavik to propose? It will be after dinner so say around 9ish, but I guess it's still nice and bright at that time anyway. After I pop the question I want to take her to a nice place for some champagne, soft guitar/piano bar type place, any suggestions there?
Aside from all that what's the best English language sites for concert listings in Reykjavik?

Thanks Borkur. That would have been a great place to do it. On our final full day we did go to Perlan in the morning, weather was great and the Viking exhibition was very engaging. After we spent the afternoon horse-riding, I persuaded her to go for a sea-front walk before dinner, and I popped the question at the Sun Voyager sculpture, with some amused tourists looking on. The weather was still perfect and with the view of the hills across it was an amazing setting. Couldn't wait until sunset, which doesn't seem to happen anyway!
She said yes :)
We are looking forward to our next holiday in Iceland, planning to spend far longer, hire a 4x4 and get into the more remote areas.
