hello!! I will be in Iceland for two weeks over christmas and new year..can anyone tell me if buses will be operating around the christmas period? i'm hoping to get to Akureyri from Reykjavik on 23 or 24 dec, then to Ytra Lón from Akureyri on 26 dec. Thanks!!

Well, you´re optimistic my friend.
There is a bus from R.vik to Akureyri on the 23. at 08:30, and 17:00, none on the 24.
From Akureyri to Husavik on the 26. at 15:00 and 20:15. But not further.
Normally, the drive to Ytra Lón is about 1.5 hours from Húsavík, but during Christmas, you´re lucky if it´s open at all, due to snow.
