We are going to hike Laugavegurinn around mid-september, but are having some trouble deciding on what gear to bring.

What temperatures and weather should we expect?

Hi,

This is very important to have warm and waterproof clothes to go in the Highlands.

You will find the full list of equipment needed on safetravel.is ´s website and get more info about this trail on www.fi.is.
You can also have a look at Iceland-Camping-Equipment rental shop to rent the equipment you need but might not own like a hiking GPS with the Icelandic map, map of the trail, light waterproof hiking tent, ...
I would recommend as well to download the app from the rescue team called 112, you can register your location along the trail and call the rescue team too.
