Hello, I am leaving for Iceland on 25 July and have procrastinated booking a car for my two-week journey around the country. I need advice about car booking prices as they seem very expensive to other countries I've visited.

Is it cheaper/better to book a car over the internet or can you find better deals in-person once there? I'm a little concerned about availability if I arrive without an advance booking.

The best deal I've found online is 14.450,00 ISK or $115 USD per day for an economy class car. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Cheers!

I would say if you can get a car for that price with all included take it since the prices here are crazy and most of the time you would be having trouble getting a car now.
