My father was born and raised in/near what was then Iwieniec, Poland, now Ivenets/Ivanets (sp?), Belarus. This is a town roughly 50km west of Minsk and ~130km southeast of Vilnius. 1) Maps: obtaining a high-resolution paper map (Dad does not do electronic stuff) of Iwieniec and the surrounding area. The older the better as I'm hoping that Dad will…

I'm teaching English in southern Sweden at the moment. We have a break over Easter - the 1st to the 8th of April - and I'm keen to use it to travel to eastern Europe. I've never been there. Can anyone recommend their best places? I know it's a bit random!

Hi there
We will be in Athens in early May and want to travel from Athens to Dubrovnik (or Split) in Croatia. We have trawled the internet for train, ferry and flight options. All look expensive and/or time consuming to travel. Has anyone some recommendations on the best / most efficient way to travel from Athens to Dubrovnik (or Split) - all options are on the table!
Cheers
Lisa
