In celebration of the 130th anniversary of the date of Alexander Green's birth, and of the 40th anniversary of the Feodosian literary memorial museum of A. S. Green, the museum will hold a thematic competition for the best creative work on the theme "The Gift to Alexander Green".

The museum director, Elena Svetlichnaja, has informed us that the purpose of competition is to popularize the works of Alexander Green, increase interest in his literary heritage, and develop youth creativity.

Hi,

I'll be traveling in the Ukraine in mid May. Just had a couple of questions if anyone can help.

(1) I've tried to get Ukrainian money here in the US but have been told at several foreign exchange places that it's not possible. Does anybody know how that works if I have no Ukrainian money and am traveling by train (from Budapest) into that country?

(2) International cell phone. We've decided not to rent a cell phone here in the US because its just way too expensive. We plan to use…

Kiev

Hi,
Looks like the Victory holiday is about to interfere with my plans!
What is the difference between first class fares and second on a day train from Lviv to Kiev.
I tried both scheds and seat 61 and could not figure it out.
They want to go the other way!
Travel May 9 or 10
475 km should not take to long.

Is it mad to consider going to Kiev and surrounding places in winter (December and January) - being from New Zealand, that's the only time I can take a break long enough to justify travelling so far. I spent some time a couple of years ago at the same time in Bulgaria and Romania and survived: is it much worse if you go into the Ukraine? Thanks.

I am from the UK and booked an apartment through uarent.com, about 6 weeks in advance. 3 nights, Friday - Monday inclusive.

On arrival I was taken to a different apartment than the one I booked, it was about 3 streets away. I paid 65EUR per night (they quote prices in EUR but charge you in USD, so you end up paying a little bit extra on the conversion rate, in my case, I paid in GBP a EUR quoted price but was charged in USD!).

The apartment I paid 65€ for was a luxury one, separate bedroom…

Hello !

Last year I discovered a very nice camping in Ukraine, on the Black sea coast. It's cheap, nice and calm. A bit "lost" but if you like "nature traveling" it's perfect :)

Now they have a web site in English : http://ukraine-camping.com/

A question : somebody knows other nice campings in Ukraine ? I would like to try several and compare.

thanks !
