I will stay in Simferopol and I want to travel by public transport to Yalta and Sevastopol in one day. I read that it's a two hours drive between all these towns.
Do you know if it is too much to do this in one day? Do I need a lot of time in Yalta. Unfortunately I will travel on wednesday when the Livadia palace is closed, so I don´t go there. Or maybe I make a picture from the outside.
I read that the busride is very beautiful between Yalta and Sevastopol.
I also read about a fast bus between the towns, but I cannot find more information about that bus.

Hey
Here's bus schedule between Simferopol and Yalta: http://bus.com.ua/cgi-bin/poshuk?fp=UA0110100000&tp=UA0111900000&Go=3 (You need to do some Google Translate for it). It looks like the buses aren't that close to each other. Note that not all the buses are usually mentioned on this website, and sometimes there will be private minivans (marshrutkas) going around. I would predict minivans departing every hour at least, but I am not sure.
To be on the safe side, I'd suggest to visit one city on your way. Crimea is not very English-language oriented, so unless you speak Russian, you will need some time to find the bus station, figure out which bus goes where, buy the ticket, etc.

As activeukraine noted, some Russian would make travelling easier in Crimea. Unfortunately, I had none - but the staff at the bus stations in Simferopol, Bakhchysaray and Sevastopol were all extremely helpful when I wrote down my destination (in both English and Cyrillic). Note that your bus ticket is for a specific bus, usually the next one to depart - the time, number plate and maybe seat number will be printed on the ticket.
