From ukraine to sofia

Options:

-- Ferry to Varna, then bus or train to Sofia -- look at www.ukrferry.com. Also, here is the compendium of Black Sea Ferry postings:

-- Bus. Not sure if there is anything direct, but depending on where you are in Ukraine you could probably at least bus to Bucharest, then catch a bus or train to Sofia.

-- Train. Check www.bahn.de for schedules. There is a daily direct train between Kiev and Sofia which takes about 35-40 hours.

-- Fly. I don't think there are any budget airlines running this route, but you could have a look at www.whichbudget.com. I don't think any airlines fly directly between Kiev and Sofia, but check the typical airline booking sites to see for yourself. Prices will vary considerably based on when you intend to travel, and how far in advance you are booking

www.wizzair.com flies from Kiev to Sofja via Treviso (Venice).
For that, you will probably need a Schengen visa.

It is impossible to give you any costs as you are not saying when and from where you will be traveling exactly

Aerosvit flies directly from Kiev to Sofia, check their website to see if they have any offers for the period you are looking at

As far as I know - From Chernivtsi there is a train to Sofia !
So , there is a chance to stay in the hostel ''Roxelana'' in Chernivtsi for about two days and then to move directly to Sofia.
You must book the hostel 24 hours in advance
