Hi All,

I would really appreciate any feedback.

I need to get to Kiev from the 7th/8th to 20th of April, and looking to rent a studio flat or 1bedroom, centrally hopefully with broadband (have to do some edu).

All of the sites I have found charge a daily price x 13nights --- basically, they are charging London prices :)

I know, Kiev is not super cheap, but c'mon. There's got to be better pricing, right? :)

Any suggestions, Thanks kindly.

You can get a private room in a hostel for less than £10 a night if you shop around. Not an apartment but maybe worth considering.

It isn't cheap partly becasue there aren't many options not because it is an expensive place. And in the past there were lots of reports of problems with apartment rentals - particularly that people would arrive and be told that the place they agreed to in the location they wanted was no longer available for any one of a dozen improbable reasons.

While the hostels don't always get accurate reviews, they might be your best bet for low cost.

If you can't speak Russian or Ukrainian and have to rely on English-language agencies then you're gonna get screwed. There are ladies in front of the train station offering rooms but even those won't be super cheap, they won't speak English, and probably the flats are on the other side of the river anyways. You probably are best off getting a private room in a hostel. I would recommend TIU Kreschatik, Central Station, Chillout, or TIU Backpackers, I've had personal experience with all of them and they're all well run.
