Hi everyone
I'm planning to visit parts of Turkey this Summer and I was wondering if you could help me with wio questions:
- does the e-visa policy apply to land borders too or are the former on-arrival visas still available? I'm planning to enter by Georgia.
- what's your opinion about visiting cities in SE Turkey, such as Mardin, Sanliurfa or Gaziantep? Is it safe?

Hi all! We are traveling to Turkey for 11 days for our honeymoon and I wanted to run my itinerary by you. We are planning to fly into Istanbul and stay there for about 4-5 days. At first I was thinking of then flying to Izmir and staying to Seluc/ephesus for 2 days and then driving on to Bodrum. Hi all

I have a morning to spend in Istanbul, arriving at 7:15 a.m. and departing at 4:30 In the afternoon. As my passport is visa free to Turkey and my luggage is sent directly to my final destination, I was thinking about sending some time in the city. Any advice on where to go? I am less interested in seeing the"traditional" sights like Haghia Sofiya, more interested in seeing markets and maybe taking a ferry from the European to the asian side and maybe having a drink by the bay. My wife would really like to buy a carpet from Turkey. We will be in Cappadocia April 3-5 and Istanbul April 6-8.

Can anyone recommend a market where we can have an authentic experience shopping, buy a good quality carpet (flying or regular), and get a reasonable price? This should be a real market not something surviving off of tourists.

Any big differences between the various airlines offering intra-Turkey flights? Turkish Air versus Pegasus versus others?
And any recommendations about car rental companies? Or just start comparing rates?

Starting in Dalaman (will be there for the week preceding - work thing, no option to leave earlier)

*May 22 - fly to Kayseri and get to Cappadocia early evening

*May 23 - Cappadocia - am Balloon, afternoon hike(?) Fly to Denizli that night

*May 24 - Pumakkale day tour then fly to Istanbul in the evening

*May 25 - Istanbul

*May 26 - Istanbul

*May 27 - Early AM flight to USA (Firm)
