Hi does anyone have a rough idea how much taxi's cost from Ataturk airport to Taksim, in Istanbul?

Hi there - I have dual Canada-U.S.A citizenship. I normally travel on a Canadian passport because I live in Canada and am more Canadian than American; but the cost of an eVisa for U.S. citizens is only $20 vs. $60 for Canadians, so I'm likely going to apply as an American.

But I thought I'd ask and see if there is any real benefit or practical reason anyone can think of to travel in Turkey as one or the other? I doubt it makes any difference at all, but maybe there's a preference? The Turks…

I am looking for any help in planning my first trip to Turkey. I will be travelling alone.
I arrive mid morning on Apr 21st and Depart on May 8th in the afternoon.

I am just starting so open to any and all suggestions. I want to keep the costs down but am open to one or two internal flights and perhaps one or two night buses. Some suggestions about the logistics (bus, train, flights) would be appreciated.

Hi - I'm going to be in Turkey for June and July, during the whole of Ramadan. I'll primarily be in the east, and am guessing the fasting will be more of a mild inconvenience for me than a major challenge.

Hi, I am travelling to Istanbul this month and would be staying at Radisson Hotel and Spa Tuzla. I need to travel to Hilton Bosphoporus for my Tour pick up. Please advise how do i travel , if by taxi how much would be the fare and any public transport is available.

We will be in Turkey during the June elections. I'd like to know a little more about what is going on. My eyes started glazing over when I began reading Wikipedia's report about all the parties, etc. Can anyone give me a general overview of what is going on, what is at stake, how Kurdish elements fit in, conservative versus liberal Islamic values, etc. Also, does voting occur in polling centers, is voter fraud a big issue and when are the results announced?
