Moi: Trabzon

We have a week in Bodrum and want to try to get to Efes and Kalkan. Can we do them in day trips or will we need to overnight on each trip? Obviously we want to spend enough time in each spot to be able to appreciate everything.

Okay, so just reading the LP and wondering a couple of things.
1) any personal recommendations for places to stay for lone female in Trabzon?
2) Thinking of taking bus from Trabzon to Amasya in one fell swoop - is that foolish? should i stop somewhere along the way? and...do i just take bus to samsun and then switch to another bus to amasya b/c there doesn't seem to be a direct route from trab - amasya
3) Amasya - Safranbolu. LP mentions something about being let off at some Karabuk…

does anyone know if there is a car ferry from Istanbul to the galipoli peninsular/Eceabat ??? We believe there is one from
Istanbul to Bandima .

My partner and I are travelling to the Turqouise coast at the beginning of Sept. We have booked a villa for 4 days in Kalkan and are considering whether to charter a gulet and go sailing for a few days. We definitely don't want to go for a week and would also prefer to charter a boat for just the two of us as opposed to sailing with a group of people. Does anybody know if this is possible? Whether there are small gulets available?

Any tips anyone can offer on hidden little places on the coast…

Does somebody know whereabouts of some big supermarket close to Taksim area of Istanbul?

MY wife and I will be in Cirali in early September and I'm wondering if making a side trip to Greece is feasible and if so, what the easiest/closest/best option would be. Thanks for any suggestions.--dg

I know carry around my wallet in my back pocket like I normally do is inadvisable while in places like Istanbul and other tourist locations, but I'm wondering what other options might work for me. I'm too big for a money belt, I've already looked at those. Would wearing one of those wallet/passport holders on a string around the neck work for carrying say enough cash for a day on the town and leave the rest in the hotel safe?

Just wondering what others have tried that worked.

Is anyone able to point me in the right direction for a website that has a reasonable selection (and price) for one way car hire - Ankara to Antalya (for one week)? Also, can anyone suggest the best/nicest hotel to stay in for one or two nights in Ankara? Price isn't an issue, but we will have a very long flight from Australia, so would appreciate a little luxury, peace and quiet. Again, if you can suggest a website to find this information, that would be fantastic.
