In all sincerity, choosing the resort itself is much more important than the town where it's located.
I've met enough British tourists who are finicky eaters while on holiday to know that most all-inclusive places will NOT be suitable. The all-inclusive holiday model has, unfortunately, found a race to the bottom for many of the hotels and the first places they cut are food and drink. I suspect that you should mainly confine your search to resorts that say "ultra all-inclusive" or similar.
I suggest Trip Adviser as a FAR better place to research individual resorts than the literature provided by holiday tour companies. One of the dirty little secrets of the package holiday business is that the tour companies essentially rent a block of rooms at some hotels for the season paying one flat price (not per person, nor per room, not per night--per the entire group of rooms for the entire season). These are their "preferred" hotels and they will do anything and everything to sell them to include significant misrepresentation of the quality.
The towns and hotels Sarikinarya specifically mentioned (Torba on the Bodrum Peninsula and Belek near Antalya) are all very nice places. Torba is a decent sized town that attracts a genteel class of guests. Golfing is big and much is done to ensure that there are "suitable" things for families. The main streets are paved in marble with granite footpaths and transparent illuminated crosswalks. High-end shops abound. Torba is a quiet and rather isolated little village with a few few large resorts.
