I'm having difficulty deciding where I should go for a dive (already have the open water course). I'm on a budget, so it needs to be in a place where I can get cheap accom.
The Kadir's top tree houses in Olympos offers diving, but the accom seems a bit too big of a place for me. Anybody have comments on Kardir's? Or any other town to recommand?
Thanks

we did diving from Olympos - we didn't book from Kadirs but from another dive place in olympos, but my guess is that they all go to the same place. we had an hour in a taxi (we were told half an hour) to a really big boat (by diving standards!) and went out for the day, we were promised a cave dive and a wreck dive but they changed our minds and we did not do the wreck. we were not given any kind of dive briefing before the first dive and i really didn't feel safe ... i'm sure this wont be the case for you but it's a word of warning to check them out first!! we were also in kalkan and went diving with www.kalkandiving.com who i would highly recommend

Base yourself in Kas. My friend who is a fanatical diver and can't ever wait to finish work in Istanbul and go diving has a home in Kas to be close to the best diving spots.

I also think that you are better off in Kas for diving. As for Olympos actually to dive there is illegal to dive there as it is a protected historical site. But you can snorkel. The closest diving to Olympos is in Adrasan or also known as Cavus Koyu.

Hi again forgot to say that you can also dive from the 3 islands just off from Cirali and Tekirova close to Phaselis. As for Diving the best spots in Turkey are;
Uçan Balýk, Kaþ
Büyük Resif (Great Reef), Bodrum
Afkule, Fethiye
Delimehmet, Ayvalýk
Kalkan
3 Adalar, Tekirova
Bebek and Minnoþ rock islets, Saros
Sivriada, Istanbul
Kocadað, Gökova
Hisarönü, Datça
Check out Tekirova or Adrasan for diving. Adrasan is about 90kms southwest from Antalya. Tekirova is about 50kms from Antalya.
