I use tap water which I bring to the boil for making coffee.

You can sometimes refill youer water bottle at a spring- such as the spring in the Holy Cave of Abraham in Urfa.

The rest of the time I drink Gazoz ..........

Never try to whistle with a mouth full of custard.

I have been drinking the tap water in Spain, France, and Italy for many years and am presently in a house in Granada and have been for10 days
and have yet to buy any bottled water. In the August heat of Granada you must drink water so I have drunk a lot and have had no problems whatsoever.
If there is a water source in Spain , France, or Italy that is not potable it will be marked with a warning sign. Tapwater in all three countries mentioned above is safe everywhere. A few weeks ago I even found a non- potable sign on a fountain in super sanitary Switzerland so when using a fountain look before you drink.

My local water in Turkey has a very high mineral content so I make coffee and ice with bottled water. I use tap water for cooking.

In Madrid, where I live for most of the time - and have done for many years - the water is extremely "soft" and I would never think of using bottled water.

I would have thought that it was well known by now that a lot of bottled water sold by the multinationals is actually locally sourced tap water.

I avoided tap water in Turkey but still spent every morning rooted to the toilet!! A lot of the locals were drinking bottled water and it is cheap in the supermarket/shops so I'd stick to that if possible. Of course if boiling tap water is fine and I don't think drinking it will do that much harm (I'm sure we got some in some cafès with our turkish coffee).

I live in Australia and happily drink tap water with no ill effect in most countries I visit. I have recently returned from 9 weeks in Turkey and drank tap water, water from springs and water from wells - all with no problems. The only place I did not drink tap water was in Istanbul for reasons described above. Incidentally with well water I used water purification tablets.
