Im a Spanish woman who loves travelling (india, nepal, sri lanka, france, UK.....), but I prefer not to do it alone in Turkey.

December is the worst time of the year to visit Turkey. For one thing, it gets dark about 4:30 PM in the afternoon. Second, Turkey gets most of its rainfall from November to March, so you can plan on getting wet most of the time. I don't know what your schedule is like: From your profile, you may not have done much planning. It's hard to enjoy the surroundinging when you are drenched in rain most of your tour.

You'll have problems finding a hotel in Konya as this is Rumi festival time - 6 - 17 December. As this is the 800th anniversary of Rumi's birth every place is likely to be fully booked.

muxulaki - please ignore mcunsal. He's just joined this board, made two postings - and they're both to 'lone female travellers'.
I shall ask the board moderator to remove him. We don't like that sort of thing here.
