Hi,

I plan to travel in Turkey this November and December. I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice on the cost of travelling in this country. I will be travelling quite cheaply, so using hostels, eating street food, not using organised tours.

Also, if anyone has any other general advice for me about travelling in Turkey that would be much appreciated. Such as where you would recommend me visiting/seeing, how best to travel around the countries and from one country to another, any good and cheap hostels you'd recommend etc.

Thanks!

How can anybody recommend a hostel if even you don't know where you go to, or do you adjust your travel plans due to cheap hostels?

Nov. Dec. black sea cost will be cold, or usually is, Istanbul will not be warm eigther, for the best temps it's the mediterrainan coast, there you should be able to find cheap lodgings since most tourists are gone and places like to make some money, for travelling around busses are a good option.

Turkey is big and has so much to see, but you need to make up your mind in what direction you want to go.

And Georgia, AND Armenia, from your sole other post. So two months for three countries, in the middle of winter, and no ideas what you want to see. Are you for real, or just idling?
But, if you're serious, read www,turkeytravelplanner.com and/or visit your local library to read up on what this great country has to offer. Then come back here with specific questions.
