My girlfirend and I (both retired) are traveling to Turkey with her two adult sons. This 10 day trip takes us to Istanbul, Cappadocia, and Kusadasi. We're paying a single price for hotels, air fare, and private tour guides for the four of us. Since I don't know the price of these private tours at each of these venues, I appreciate some guidance regarding a suitable gratuity for our guides and possible drivers.

While tipping is appreciated, it is not a stipulation like in other countries so don't break your budget. Give what you can depending on how you feel about the service you have received. I also tip at the end of the holiday for guides and drivers. Do it daily and it will take a chunk out of your money, along with restaurants and hotels.

If it was me on a 10 day trip and everything went well, at the end, I would tip 150 lira to 200 lira for both the drivers and guide to share between them.
