Hello! Heading to Turkey in May/June and just trying to finalize my plan for my time on the Mediterranean Coast. I want to see a few towns on the coast, but I'm wondering if it's better to spend a few days in a couple of towns vs one day in a bunch of towns. Are they all really that different? I have a week, starting in Fethiye and ending in Antalya. I also plan to see Kas for sure. Are a few days in each of these towns the best thing to do? Are there any other towns along the coast that are a "must see?" I'll be renting a car to make getting around easier.
Also, if anyone has any good recommendations on great one-night boat excursions I'm all ears! Due to having a car, they would have to leave and return to the same port.
Thanks so much in advance!

The coast of Turkey is beautiful. We started in Kas (three nights) and moved west toward Oludeniz (one night) and beyond.
On the third night in Kas we did an overnight boat trip in and out of the port. We chartered the boat with one other couple. We didn't book through a tour company. We just went to the port and talked to/negotiated with a few of the small boat owners about going out for a night to see the coast. We cruised around for the afternoon, caught some fish for dinner and anchored in a small bay for the night. Returned to Kas the next day after cruising over some of the underwater ruins. Highly recommend doing this if you can arrange it. Have a great trip!
With just a week I would base my self in two or three places. You have already ear marked Fethiye,Kaş and Antalya and that sounds good to me.The distance bewteen A and B is not that much in reality so you can visit other villages for a few hours easily with your car from these three bases.E.g.Patara on the way from Fethiye to Kaş,Demre and Olympos on the way to Antalya etc.etc.,.

You could have a look at Dilek Mili National Park. Its a small national park on a peninsula between Kusedesi and Didima, just 2km away from the greek island Samos. Its a park with some mountains, completly covered with wood and show a bit how the whole aegan sea once might have looked. It has plenty of long, rather empthy beaches and everything is easily accesible with Dolmus. We stayed there some days during our trip and it was really nice and quiet change to other parts of the coast.

The recommendation fidel2 made is indeed very good but be aware that it is on the AEGEAN coast and not the Mediterranean. While very convenient if you are also visiting Ephesus you will probably spend the best part of a day to travel between there and the Lycian part of the Mediterranean you mentioned (roughly Fethiye to Antalya). Since this will involve multiple buses I doubt that there is any reasonable overnight option.
