Does anyone have any suggestions about where I could leave a piece of luggage for a few days in Istanbul? I will be arriving there from Tajikistan day after tomorrow and want to immediately hit the road out of town, but i am hindered by my 50kg's of stuff. I want to be able to leave the bag for 3-4 days. I am willing to book a room in a hotel if that will convince them to keep the bag for 4 days, though I dont know what hotel would be willing to do this. Or is there some sort of service anywhere, like the indian railways "cloak room"? Thanks!

They have a left luggage counter at the airport, although prices are pretty steep (something like 10 YTL per day, per piece)

if it si 10 ytl per day at the airport, do not hesitate to leave..
there also counters at every bus station but won't be cheaper,
booking a room will be more expensive

There is a clockroom type of place at the airport.
It is on the arrival floor.

Here are the prices per day.
Big Size Package 15,00 YTL
Normal size luggage 12,00 YTL
Backpack 10,00 YTL
Small Package /Plastic Bag 8,00 YTL

I hope this helps.
