Hi guys,

So, we'll be moving on from Kars the day after tomorrow up to the Kackars for 4 days.
Ideally we'd like to do a 2 or 3 day walk by ourselves staying in villages as we only have sleeping bags and don't want to have to pay for renting a tent and a guide, etc. Is this possible?
Where would be ideal to do this? We were thinking the Firtina Valley?
Meadows in flower, some forest and alpine/mountain scenery would be nice.
Please recommend what you think and why!
Also, what is the best way to access the area from Kars? Go to Erzurum?
After the Kackars we go to Trabzon, Sumela and on to Georgia.

Cheers from Adam and Paul!

Hello,
I was planning to go in the kaçkar later this summer, so I'm interested in your experiences.
Thx for sharing !
